The Social Media team serves as the bridge between the Daily Pennsylvanian and the Penn community. By joining our team, you will gain valuable communication and design skills increasingly relevant in today’s evolving digital landscape.

As a rapidly growing department, we are seeking individuals excited to curate, manage, and grow the social media presence of the DP and 34th Street Magazine on Facebook, X, and Instagram. Social Media associates play a key role in conceptualizing creative content and collaborating with the News, Sports, and Opinion departments and Street to translate their stories into engaging digital content.

This department is perfect for anyone passionate about learning the ins and outs of maintaining and elevating the DP’s brand. We’re also looking for associates eager to brainstorm new content ideas and experiment with new posting styles.

No prior experience is necessary to join the social media team — all you need is creativity, a willingness to learn, and a team-oriented mindset. Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Canva is a plus but absolutely not required.
