Focus

In a world that has constantly been changing over the past year, the Focus section was created to cover it all. Focus is the place for current social justice and political coverage, and it reflects our shift in identity as a publication. Focus is the crossroads of culture and the heart of Street, where our goal for inclusivity is best accomplished. The Focus Editor should be tuned in to society and especially Philly: what's changing, what's not, and why; think along the lines of The Cut's "Power" section. The section turns out longer, analytical pieces that incorporate detailed reporting. 

Expectations: Attend weekly in–person edits with your section editor, attend all staff meetings, trainings, and social events, pitch and write biweekly
