Arts

The section touches all angles of the Penn art scene and the greater Philadelphia area. Arts is student art projects; it’s fashion and gallery openings and museums and photography and books—the list goes on. Arts will be responsible for ensuring coverage of all Kelly Writers House events, Arthur Ross and ICA art gallery, Design Showcases, new books being published by Penn authors, and theatre shows as well as keeping tabs on ongoing art shows in Philadelphia. Arts writers should not only be able to appreciate art, but critique it as well. 

Expectations: Attend weekly in–person edits with your section editor, attend all staff meetings, trainings, and social events, pitch and write ONCE a week
